Keywords: global economic crisis, food economy, consolidation, parent companies
One of the most important pending issue in world economy today is finding a way to prevent future global economic and financial crises, as well as finding ways and tools to mitigate the effects and consequences of a crisis which has already occurred. Some methods and tools are already available – one which should be highlighted is holding accounting methodology and the consolidated annual reports prepared this way. Such consolidated annual reports facilitate realistic evaluation of the groups of undertakings by screening out accumulation resulting from internal transactions between members of the same group. They can help avoid results indicating accumulation of assets and revenues, derived from legal, financial and accounting technical reports, i.e. results which play an important role in the occurrence of crises.
