Skilled management in Dutch agriculture

Keywords: scientific management, training, content management, agriculture, Netherland, Campina

Although agriculture is not usually classed as a science based sector, in Holland skilled management plays a central role in both agricultural enterprises and government programs. Science based management activities at Campina for example have for years included e-Learning, Blended Training and Content Management and Collaboration programs. Of programs pointing beyond company organisations such as participation in Transition to Sustainable Agriculture, Knowledge Consortium is possibly the most significant example. Although the Campina skilled management programs brought some significant results, contribution to the main financial indices could not be detected.
