The cooperation of science, education and the user sphere is a determining factor in the development and competitiveness of agriculture. Its realisation requires concerted action, which cannot succeed without a paradigm shift. We should not renounce the harmonisation of labour market demands and the training aims of the various education levels (FS, BSc, MSc). An expert advisory system to assist agricultural activity – the creation and operation of area networks – is a defining requirement for making the most of the opportunities presented by agriculture in the 2007-2013 period.
